My family and I came to County Line in early 2015, after hearing the Lord's call to serve Him by leading worship. Renee and I were both raised in Pittsburg, met The Lord at a young age and began working with church music early on through our youth group. When it came time for college, she headed to ETBU and I went to LeTourneau; The Lord made it very evident that He wanted us together as a team, so I asked Renee to marry me and we were wed in December of 1998. Soon after we joined Southern Oaks in Tyler, where we immediately began working with the music program and investing our lives with a very wonderful group of people. Five years later our first son, Nathanael, was born, followed by Ian and then Will. In 2012 The Lord began to break both Renee and me, showing us different areas that we needed to give over to Him. We wrote letters to close friends and asked them to pray for us, as we desperately wanted to find His will for our lives. By fall of 2014 I was in seminary at Southwestern, and not long after we were meeting the precious people of County Line. But we don't intend to stop there -- we will continue to seek His will for our lives as each day brings a new set of challenges and opportunities. And this goes for our ministry at County Line, whether it is leading others in lifting our voices and hearts to The Lord, or finding ways to share the Gospel with a broken world, we desire to obey Him in all we do. We serve marvelous Savior, and He deserves our best in all things.
