Ben Bryan – Senior Pastor, Email – ben@clbcbullard.org
My family and I came to CLBC in early 2013. Being raised in a Baptist home by parents who encouraged me to know the Lord, I can honestly say I have always believed in God. From a young age I sensed a calling by God to devote my life to His service in some way. At 8 years old, I remember walking down to the front of Temple Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX and making what I considered a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. This began a 17 year process of examining what I thought I believed, pushing the limits of God’s forgiveness, and struggling against what God had in store for my life. In 2002, God was finally able to reach the whole heart of this sinner. God made me understand He was unsatisfied with only having part of me, especially only the parts that I desired Him to have. Though I believed, Christ was far from being the Lord of my life. This is when He broke my heart fully and saved me from my sins. From that point on, I knew God had called me not only to be his son, but also to serve Him. Through the next 11 years, God led me to ETBU to pursue my degree in and then to a career as a child abuse investigator for the State of Texas. It was also during this time, when God shaped my mind and more importantly softened my heart to love people. Through many obstacles and detours that I have chosen in my life, I have come to realize He has always been with me, and I praise Him. In 2015, I was ordained as an Elder at County Line Baptist Church. When our former Pastor surrendered to the mission field, the members of County Line Baptist Church chose me to be their Pastor.
1 Peter 5:10-11
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
